Guitarist Craig Marshall is the last remaining original founding member of Cubensis, having started the band in 1987 after becoming dissatisfied with the Dead’s all-too-infrequent appearances in Southern California. Self-taught, he learned to play guitar by slowing down Grateful Dead records to half speed and studying Jerry Garcia’s unique style.
DJ Williams is the founder of the funky Richmond based band, DJ Williams Projekt; hip-hop/R&B group, The Breaks; acoustic duo, Williams & Jones; and guitarist for San Diego’s critically acclaimed group, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe.
For over 9 years, the Western Illinois based roots rock/jam band "The Dawn" has been spreading their love of cutting edge improvisational rock throughout the Midwest. From their humble beginnings in the shadow of the Mississippi River, they have crafted out their place as one of the premier up and coming jam bands.
