The PHRED instruments SB500 guitar is a set neck, double cut-away guitar that gets its inspiration from Jerry Garcia's Travis Bean TB500 guitar. The body features three P90 pickups by Artec Sound with Alnico magnets, discrete on/off switches, On Board Effects Loop, and our built-in pre-amp/buffer.  A P90 pickup upgrade option will become available soon and can be added prior to shipping. 

Our SB500 guitar is professionally setup with low action and D'Addario 10-46 strings, and the frets are leveled and milled here at our shop in California for a nice smooth and clean feel all around. 

UPDATED for 2025!  The Scarlet Wolph design has been updated with a curved brass tailpiece, rosewood binding, rosewood headstock veneer.  The PHRED instruments Scarlet Wolph gets its inspiration from Doug Irwin's Wolf guitar, one of the iconic guitars played by Jerry Garcia. The body features a triple humbucker setup mounted in a custom pickup plate, with discrete split coil switches and a 5-way pickup toggle for 14 different tone combinations! Our Scarlet Wolph is professionally setup with low action and D'Addario 10-46 strings, and the frets are leveled and milled here at our shop in California for a nice smooth and clean feel all around.

The Phred Instruments Wolph guitar is being discontinued and replaced with the Wolph NT model, a neck through version of the Wolph with laminate body construction.  CLICK HERE to view the Wolph NT model. 

The PHRED instruments Wolph NT (Neck-Through) gets its inspiration from Doug Irwin's Wolf guitar, one of the iconic guitars played by Jerry Garcia. The 7-layer body is constructed of alternating layers of ash and mahogany with curly maple veneers on the top and back for appearance. The body features a single-humbucker-humbucker setup mounted in a custom pickup plate, with discrete split coil switches and a 5-way pickup toggle for 12 different tone combinations! We use 0.04" thick brass and buff to a shine. Brass parts may or may not fit perfectly on your guitar and may require some fitting modifications for your guitar. See product details for dimensions. Please allow 2-3 days before parts ship. Each part includes brass Phillips head screws to secure the brass part to the guitar body. Brass prices are for parts only, and do not include installation.
